 Compost (Seasonal Availability)
If you are interested in purchasing seasonal yard waste or leaf compost, please contact the Central Processing Facility (phone number above) for availability. This soil-enriching compost may be purchased at the Central Processing Facility for $1.75 per bag (approximately 45 lbs. per bag) or you may load (shovel) bulk compost into your own containers or pick-up truck for $41.00 per ton.

This organic compost has biodegraded and has been screened. The finished material results in a black humus soil-enrichner. Compost should be used as a soil amendment in flower and vegetable gardens.

Please call first for availability of seasonal compost.

Mulch (Bulk Only)
Medina County residents may purchase color-enhanced mulch in bulk only at the Central Processing Facility for $65.00 per ton. This mulch is produced from the grinding of wooden pallets, which helps us divert these pallets from disposal in landfills. The mulch must be self-loaded (shoveled) into your own container or pick-up truck. Colors available are black, brown and red.

This mulch can be used in flower and shrub beds or in vegetable gardens to conserve moisture, lower soil temperature, reduce erosion and soil compaction, discourage the establishment of weeds, and for aesthetic purposes.
