COVID-19 Response
Updated response to COVID-19 – Attention Recycle Medina County customers:
Effective March 18, 2020, the Medina County Sanitary Engineer (MCSE) has RESTRICTED IN-PERSON USE of the Medina County Solid Waste District Campus, 8700 Lake Road, Seville, Ohio, as follows:
- Inbound customer traffic is limited to essential transactions for the disposal of municipal solid waste (3-bag residential minimum), yard waste, and source separated recyclables.
- The residential Household Hazardous Waste and Specialty Waste drop-off facilities are temporarily CLOSED. Please retain specialty waste and household hazardous waste items properly at your home until services have been restored to this District program.
- Customers that arrive on Campus with less than the 3-bag minimum, or with household hazardous waste and/or specialty waste will not be permitted to continue their intended transaction and instead be directed by Scale House personnel to return at another time in conformance with the restricted use criteria.
We thank you for your cooperation as we implement best management practices intended to slow the transmission of viral infection and apologize for any inconvenience you may experience. The District and the MCSE remain committed to providing, maintaining, and managing solid waste and recycling activities to our customers.
Please note, the District’s service provider for the County-Wide Single-Stream Recycle Bin Program remains in operation with recycle bins serviced on their regularly scheduled date/time.
If you are experiencing a solid waste emergency, please contact the MCSE’s 24/7 emergency contact line at phone (330) 723-9585.
If you cannot find the answer to your question on this webpage, please feel free to communicate directly via email to bbiggins-ramer@medinaco.org, by desk phone to (330) 769-0289, or by cell phone to (330) 410-5573. Emails and phone calls will be responded to as soon as possible. Thank you.
